General
What is the delivery time of Mobuline?

The expected delivery time from order confirmation is 8 to 10 weeks. We do everything we can to meet this timeline. If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from doing so, we will inform you in time. During the production process, you will receive email updates throughout the various phases of the project. Additionally, your account manager is available in the meantime to provide further information.

What does a canvas from Mobuline cost?

We create a unique outdoor space that can be used year-round, regardless of the weather. As such, we compete with fixed roof structures and are in a similar price range. Every design is fully custom and one of a kind, which makes it difficult to give a price per square meter; costs depend on both the structural materials and the size of the fabric. If you would like to know more about your specific location, we would be happy to receive your request including photos and provide you with a cost indication by phone.

What is the warranty on a canopy?

We offer a five-year warranty on the canvas and structural materials. This excludes damage caused by vandalism, snow load, or natural disasters.

What is the average lifespan?

The lifespan of a canopy depends on the environment in which it is installed. A carport in a wooded area will likely need replacement sooner than a terrace cover that is only used in summer. On average, a canvas lasts around ten years. If you would like a replacement canvas, you only pay for the fabric. The installed structure does not need to be replaced.

What is the difference between a Mobuline canopy and a regular shade cover?

The name itself clearly indicates the difference. A shade cover is only intended to create shade, which it does well. However, if you are looking for a structure that can remain in place regardless of the weather, a canopy becomes more interesting. A shade cover must be taken down in strong winds. Additionally, it lacks the necessary tension and will flap in the wind. Due to the simplicity of installation, there are many providers of shade covers. We create shade roofs rather than shade covers.

Does installing a carport canopy require a permit?

It is always wise to check whether your specific municipality has regulations regarding this. However, in practice, due to the semi-permanent nature and the fact that the structure is not permanently fixed, we are allowed to proceed without a permit in most cases. The carport canopies are fully removable, including the foundation. We do not use concrete, but screw foundations. Additionally, the semi-permanent nature means the canopy can be assembled and disassembled within ten minutes.

Do you also work with wooden poles?

Yes, at Mobuline we also work with wooden poles. We prefer this for customers who favour a natural, warm appearance. Compared to aluminium, wood is more flexible in finishing and easy to customise. Aluminium is sleeker and low maintenance, but if you are looking for atmosphere, character, and a natural look, wooden poles are an excellent choice.

Which canvas colours are available?

Our canvases are available in 24 different colours. We always bring a sample kit on location so you can view them in person. Afterwards, we leave the selected samples in A4 format so you can see how they look under different weather conditions. Popular colours such as Taupe and Anthracite are the most chosen, but with the wide range, there is always a colour that perfectly matches your vision.

Can I place heaters under the canopy?

Yes, you can. No textile on the market is fireproof, but as long as you maintain at least 20 centimetres of distance, you can safely use a heater or even barbecue.

How heavy is the canvas?

Our canvases weigh between 10 kg (20 m²) and 35 kg (120 m²), depending on the size of the canopy. Only textile is hoisted, as we do not use steel for finishing the edges and corners.

Are the canvases waterproof?

The canopies are coated to be dirt- and water-repellent. As long as there is sufficient slope in the textile, water will be directed toward the lowest points. However, if for any reason a water pocket forms, it may eventually start to drip through.

Can I easily assemble and disassemble the canopy?

After delivery, you can assemble and, if necessary, dismantle the canopy yourself. However, the intention of our product is to leave it in place for a longer period once installed. Our canopies are less suited for those who want to decide daily whether to use sun protection. On average, it takes about fifteen minutes to dismantle the system. You then store the canvas in a bag of approximately 1m by 1.5m. Please note: do this on a relatively windless day.

How do I maintain the canopy?

The canopies are coated to be dirt- and water-repellent. To preserve the coating, we recommend cleaning the textile using rainfall, and if needed, a pressure washer (at a safe distance) or a garden hose. Do not use any products that may damage the coating.

Can the canopies withstand storms?

The canvases are designed to withstand winds up to 8 Beaufort (62–74 km/h).
